Women’s fashion brand Vila is preparing to open its only standalone UK store at the Northern Ireland designer outlet The Boulevard, according to a press release. The store, spanning 2,788 sq ft and offering both full price and outlet womenswear, is scheduled to open this September and will create six new jobs.

The Boulevard, located in Banbridge, continues to secure first or only UK locations for major brands, including kate spade ny, Under Armour, Adidas and Levi’s. Recent data reported by the scheme shows an 8.3% year-on-year rise in sales and a 7.3% increase in footfall, suggesting growing retailer confidence in the site and in the broader outlet model.

French Connection, GUESS, Crew Clothing, Dune London, Joules, Marks & Spencer Outlet and Radley are among the fashion retailers already operating at The Boulevard. This tenant mix further emphasises the outlet’s status as a key destination for fashion-focused consumers.

Founded in 1994, Vila is known for its playful take on womenswear, drawing on Scandinavian design principles. The brand emphasises individual expression and honest design in a continually evolving fashion landscape.

Paul McCann, Asset Manager at Lotus Property, commented: “The arrival of Vila is a brilliant way to end a record-breaking summer at The Boulevard. We are delighted that Vila has chosen The Boulevard to open its only store in the UK, reinforcing our strong reputation.” He added, “This deal signals a resounding confidence in The Boulevard as it continues to be chosen as both the first and only location for many retailers. Having unique stores that shoppers can’t find anywhere else is something that sets us apart and drives footfall to the scheme. We are delighted to continue that trend and wish Vila the best of luck with their new store.”

Karsten Spaabaek, Retail Director at Vila, said: “We are thrilled to be opening our only UK store at The Boulevard in Banbridge this September. It is a hugely exciting time for us as a brand as we grow our presence with a brick‑and‑mortar UK store and reach new customers. With the Boulevard’s strong footfall, sales and tenant mix, we couldn’t think of a better location to take this next step, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone through our doors very soon.”

The Boulevard, the only designer outlet in Northern Ireland and a leading retail destination on the island of Ireland, benefits from its position on the A1 corridor connecting Belfast and Dublin. Approximately one‑sixth of its annual visitors come from the Republic of Ireland.

Ownership of the scheme lies with Lotus Property, with advisory services provided by joint agents Johnstone Property Consultants and KLM Real Estate.
