Virgin Atlantic Holidays is expanding its physical retail presence with a new London flagship at Battersea Power Station, where travel specialists will provide personalised advice for long-haul holiday bookings.
Virgin Atlantic Holidays is expanding its physical retail network with plans to open a new London flagship store at Battersea Power Station later in 2026.
The store will be located within the restored Grade II* listed landmark and will provide customers with access to dedicated travel specialists offering advice across long-haul holidays, including luxury escapes, multi-centre trips, family holidays and other tailored itineraries.
The opening forms part of Virgin Atlantic Holidays’ wider retail strategy and its stated ambition to become the premium long-haul holiday provider of choice. The company said Battersea Power Station’s riverside setting and established mix of retail, hospitality and leisure operators were among the factors behind its choice of location.
“We’re incredibly excited to open our first London flagship store at Battersea Power Station. It’s a landmark destination that perfectly reflects the ambition behind Virgin Atlantic Holidays as we continue to evolve our retail experience. Whether customers are dreaming of a Caribbean escape, an unforgettable road trip across the USA or an adventure in Phuket, our travel experts are there to help create holidays that are as unique as the people taking them. “We know that when customers are planning a significant holiday, there’s something special about sitting down with an expert who can inspire you, share their knowledge and help turn an idea into an unforgettable trip. Our Battersea Power Station flagship will bring that experience to life in a bold new way and represents an exciting next chapter for Virgin Atlantic Holidays in London.”
The announcement follows an existing relationship between Virgin Atlantic Holidays and Battersea Power Station, which included a summer takeover campaign last year.
“Our partnership with Virgin Atlantic Holidays began last year with a successful summer takeover campaign, and we’re delighted to build on that momentum with the opening of the brand’s new flagship store at Battersea Power Station later this year. “Virgin Atlantic Holidays will be a fantastic addition to our retail line-up, giving visitors the opportunity to start planning their next getaway while also enjoying the great mix of shops, bars, restaurants and leisure venues now open across the riverside neighbourhood.”
Virgin Atlantic Holidays said the store will be supported by local marketing activity and partnerships intended to raise awareness of the new location. The company is also recruiting sales staff for its London retail operation.
