Sovereign Centros, part of CBRE, has announced that international fashion retailer, Mango, is set to open a store at Metrocentre. The new store will be located in the centre’s lower Red Mall, with its grand opening scheduled for later this year.

Mango’s latest venture at Metrocentre will feature a 6,233 sq ft unit, making it the brand’s largest store in the region to date. The new outlet will offer a Mediterranean-inspired and versatile assortment of womenswear and menswear, enhancing the mall’s fashion landscape. Positioned next to Jo Malone and close to popular retailers such as Zara, H&M, and the anchor brand Flannels, Mango’s presence is set to further elevate Metrocentre’s retail offerings.

Ben Cox, Director at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, remarked, “Introducing Mango to Metrocentre brings an added dimension to an already compelling fashion offer. Mango will be a highly complementary addition to our Red Mall line-up, which has seen significant investment and an abundance of new commitments over the last twelve months. We prove time and time again that we really are the go-to destination for retail, and we look forward to seeing Mango thrive here at Metrocentre.”

This development is part of a broader trend of expansion and enhancement at Metrocentre. Recently, Footasylum has increased its presence in the centre by moving into a larger, 12,375 sq ft unit in Red Mall, marking a 25% increase in their retail space. Additionally, significant investments have been made within Red Mall, including the relocation and expansion of international brands such as Sports Direct, Flannels, and Zara, contributing to over 170,000 sq ft of new retail space.
