Workforce Innovation Expo
Workforce Innovation Expo is a one-day event on the frontline workforce in UK retail and hospitality, taking place on Wednesday 22 September 2027 at Protein Studios in Shoreditch, London. It runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm, followed by evening drinks, and is also known as the Workforce Innovation Retail & Hospitality ConfEx.
What to expect
The programme covers recruitment, labour costs, productivity, staff retention, automation and AI, and the future of frontline work. Content runs across a keynote stage and a second stage for short case study sessions, alongside an expo floor, structured networking and a drinks reception. The organiser plans 36 speakers and 50 exhibitor stands for 2027.
Who attends
The event is aimed at HR, people, operations and IT leaders in retail and hospitality. Places for 2027 are capped at 750. At the 2026 edition, 35% of attendees worked for businesses with turnover above £1bn and 56% for companies with more than 2,000 staff.
