Higgidy is bringing back The Higgidy Arms for a one-day pub takeover in London on Thursday 22 October 2026, partnering with Guinness to offer pie and pint lunches alongside a takeaway service.
Following the sold-out debut of the concept in 2025, the food brand will return to The Queens Head at 64 Theobalds Road, London, WC1X 8SF. The temporary pub experience will feature two lunchtime sittings at 12pm and 1.15pm, with tables available to book through Eventbrite.

The event builds on Higgidy’s previous pop-up activity, including its original Higgidy Arms takeover in October 2025 and a further collaboration with Guinness in Shoreditch in June 2026.
Pie and Pint Lunches for £10
Diners will be able to choose from five Higgidy pies, served with mash or fries, two vegetable side dishes, gravy and a pint of Guinness or Guinness 0.0.
Early bird bookings were priced at £8 per person until 9 October, with the standard price now set at £10 per person.
Higgidy’s culinary team will manage the kitchen, serving three meat-based pies and two vegetarian options.
The menu comprises:
- Slow Cooked Steak & Guinness Pie
- Creamy Chicken & Sautéed Leek Pie with white wine
- Slow-Cooked Steak, Red Wine & Bacon Pie with chestnut mushrooms
- Spinach, Greek Feta & Pine Nut Pie with roasted red peppers
- New Barber’s Vintage Cheddar, Potato & Leek Pie
All five varieties will also be available to purchase hot or cold to take away for £2 each between 12pm and 4pm.
A Branded Pub Experience in Central London
The Higgidy Arms will temporarily transform The Queens Head into a dedicated destination for the pie brand, incorporating themed venue dressing intended to attract passing trade and encourage social media engagement.
The activation combines Higgidy’s food offering with the established pub setting and Guinness partnership, extending the brand’s presence beyond its conventional retail channels.
The event coincides with a period of increased demand for pies. Figures supplied by Higgidy put annual consumer spending on pies in Britain at approximately £1 billion, while separate market data indicates that total pie market volumes rise by almost 30% in October compared with September.
