Higgidy is set to open a one-day-only pop-up pub, The Higgidy Arms, in central London, offering a lunchtime service focused entirely on pies. The temporary venue, located at 64 Theobalds Road, WC1X 8SF, will operate on Thursday 23 October with two sittings at 12pm and 1.15pm.
Customers can pre-book tables via Eventbrite to enjoy a Higgidy pie served with a choice of mash or fries, two vegetable side dishes, gravy, and a pint of Guinness — all for £10 per person. For those on the go, hot and cold pies will also be available to take away from 12pm to 4pm, priced at £2 each.

The menu will feature five options, including two vegetarian choices. Diners can expect the newly launched Steak & Guinness Pie, alongside Creamy Chicken & Sautéed Leek with white wine, and a Slow-Cooked Steak, Red Wine & Bacon Pie with chestnut mushrooms. Vegetarian options include a Spinach, Greek Feta & Pine Nut Pie with roasted red peppers and a Three Cheese, Cauliflower & Broccoli Pie topped with a garlic and thyme crumb.
The pop-up follows the success of the Higgidy Pop-Up Pie Shop held in January 2025 for National Pie Day. That event sold out 1,000 pies in four hours, prompting the company to return with a pub-themed experience.
Pamela Bower-Nye of Higgidy commented: “It was fantastic to see queues around the block at our pop up shop earlier in the year. We hope that our pub experience in October will be just as popular and can’t wait to welcome customers in from the cold to enjoy a hearty pie lunch, served up by our expert team.”
Designed to be both a dining destination and a visually engaging space, The Higgidy Arms will be styled to attract passers-by and encourage shareable social media moments. The aroma of freshly baked pies is expected to add to the atmosphere, creating a warm retreat for city workers and pie enthusiasts alike.
The UK’s appetite for pies remains strong, with an estimated £1 billion spent annually on the dish. The Higgidy Arms aims to celebrate that enthusiasm with a compact but focused offering, led by the brand’s culinary team.
Table bookings for The Higgidy Arms are now available through Eventbrite.
