FREITAG has introduced a new Repair Station located directly next to its flagship store in Zurich, marking an expansion of its longstanding commitment to product longevity and sustainable design.

The facility opened over the Black Friday weekend and is described as a small workshop with a take-away feel. It provides customers with an accessible space to extend the life of their FREITAG bags, which are made from repurposed truck tarpaulins.

The new site supports a range of repair options, including both traditional fixes and recently added services. It features an express option for those seeking a faster turnaround and also offers free spare parts, reinforcing the company’s aim to make repairs as straightforward and appealing as possible.

FREITAG’s repair service is not new. It has operated in various forms for almost as long as the brand’s distinctive, one-off bags themselves. The new Zurich location consolidates that legacy by offering customers the opportunity to restore and maintain their products directly adjacent to the store where many of them were originally purchased.

This step aligns with FREITAG’s broader approach to sustainable product cycles and design transparency. By encouraging repairs rather than replacement, the brand continues to support a model of consumption grounded in utility, waste reduction and circularity.
