K-Way has secured a 1,400 sq ft flagship at 26–27 Carnaby Street, marking its first West End store and strengthening its physical retail presence in London.
K-Way has signed for a new flagship store at 26–27 Carnaby Street, marking the outerwear brand’s first location in London’s West End.
K-Way will occupy a 1,400 sq ft unit in Soho’s established fashion destination, strengthening its physical retail presence in the capital.
Flagship store plans
The store will showcase outerwear collections across menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and accessories. The London flagship is also intended to host exclusive product drops and brand events, reflecting the company’s experience in collaborative projects with both luxury and streetwear labels.
Now more than 60 years old, the brand is widely recognised across Western Europe, with its name appearing in French and Italian dictionaries as a synonym for a cagoule. The brand is backed by private equity firm Permira, which has previously supported the expansion of fashion retailers including Dr Martens and Reformation.
Carnaby Street
The West End debut forms part of the Shaftesbury Capital portfolio and places K-Way among a growing number of brands committing to long-term physical retail on Carnaby Street.
“As one of London’s busiest shopping destinations, Carnaby Street is so often at the forefront of brands’ ‘must-have’ locations, and K-Way is no exception. We are focused on partnering with ambitious brands that elevate our customer mix and stand out in the West End, and the inclusion of K-Way is evidence of that approach. Its track record of partnership, collaboration with other quality brands and how it’s delivered, has created a real sense of excitement about what they can bring to Carnaby Street, and how our visitors will respond to it.”
William Oliver, Director of Retail & Restaurant Leasing at Shaftesbury Capital
“Our goal for K-Way is to pursue a path of structured growth and consolidation across Europe’s key markets. The opening on Carnaby Street represents a pivotal step in this strategy: an iconic location with strong cultural and creative relevance, that offers international visibility and direct engagement with a highly engaged community.”
Lorenzo Boglione, CEO of K-Way
Neighbouring openings
The signing follows the recent announcement that US fashion brand Edikted has secured 52–55 Carnaby Street for its European standalone debut. The 4,800 sq ft flagship will be the brand’s first outside the United States and will stock women’s apparel and accessories influenced by streetwear and runway trends.
