Lindt has opened a 1,670 sq ft chocolate boutique at centre:mk in Milton Keynes, adding the Swiss chocolatier’s latest retail concept to the destination’s Silbury Arcade.

The store introduces a broader product and gifting offer built around Lindt’s established chocolate ranges, its Pick & Mix selection and opportunities for personalisation. It also carries selected flavours and products intended to provide additional points of discovery within the boutique.

Latest Lindt Store Concept

The centre:mk boutique has been created using Lindt’s latest store design concept, which places product discovery, gifting and customer interaction at the centre of the format.

A principal feature is the brand’s Pick & Mix selection, allowing customers to build their own assortment from individual LINDOR chocolates and other varieties. The format gives shoppers greater control over flavour combinations, quantities and gifting choices than a conventional pre-packed range.

The store also carries exclusive gifts and provides personalisation services, extending the offer beyond everyday chocolate purchases into seasonal occasions, celebrations and corporate gifting.

These elements are intended to create a more interactive shopping experience while retaining a clear focus on Lindt’s core chocolate collections.

Trending Flavours Join Established Ranges

Alongside established Lindt products, the boutique introduces flavours influenced by current confectionery trends.

These include Tokyo Style Chocolate Matcha and Strawberry, combining matcha-flavoured white chocolate with a strawberry centre and crisp rice pieces. The range reflects wider consumer interest in matcha and Japanese-inspired flavour combinations.

The centre:mk store also carries LINDOR Cherry Blossom, adding a seasonal floral flavour to the brand’s truffle selection.

By placing newer flavours alongside established products and gifting lines, Lindt can use the boutique to introduce customers to product launches while continuing to serve shoppers looking for familiar ranges.

The mix also supports repeat visits, with seasonal launches and limited-edition flavours giving the store opportunities to refresh its offer throughout the year.

Lindt’s Developing Retail Estate

Lindt & Sprüngli traces its origins to Zurich in 1845, when David Sprüngli-Schwarz and his son Rudolf began producing solid chocolate in the German-speaking region of Switzerland.

The wider Lindt & Sprüngli group now operates a global retail estate alongside its wholesale and online distribution. Its own-store network is intended to give customers access to broader assortments, exclusive products and formats that cannot always be presented through supermarket or department-store distribution.

Within the UK, Lindt has continued to develop its boutique model through openings at major shopping destinations. The format combines the brand’s packaged chocolate ranges with store-specific product discovery, gifting and Pick & Mix offers.

The centre:mk opening extends that approach into Milton Keynes and gives Lindt a permanent position within the destination’s premium retail mix.

Premium Brands On Silbury Arcade

The boutique is located on Silbury Arcade, where it joins retailers spanning fashion, beauty, home and lifestyle.

Mint Velvet, The White Company, Space NK and Reiss are among the brands already trading within centre:mk’s wider premium offer. Lindt adds a specialist food and gifting category to that mix while providing another dedicated single-brand store.

The centre said the letting reflects continued investment from retailers and supports its position as a regional destination for premium and aspirational brands.

“Lindt’s opening marks continued investment in centre:mk by leading brands, and is further evidence of our commitment to providing guests with even greater choice and inspiration. Lindt is a great complement to our existing range of premium and aspirational brands, and is yet another signal of our position as the number one destination in the region and a top ten centre in the UK as a whole.”

Kevin Duffy
Centre Director, centre:mk

Lindt said its existing boutique format had performed strongly and that the Milton Keynes destination’s catchment informed its decision to open at the centre.

“We are thrilled to be opening our latest Lindt store in centre:mk. Our boutique format has performed strongly to date, and we are confident it will resonate with centre:mk’s extensive catchment.”

Wider Food And Drink Activity

The Lindt opening follows the signing of Fluffy Fluffy, a dessert-led food and beverage concept specialising in Japanese-inspired soufflé pancakes.

Together, the two additions broaden centre:mk’s confectionery and dessert offer through a combination of specialist retail and prepared food and drink.

Lindt’s 1,670 sq ft boutique is now open on Silbury Arcade at centre:mk.
