LOOKFANTASTIC is set to open a new store in Bristol, marking the digital beauty retailer’s latest move into physical retail. Located at Cabot Circus, the store will bring together product discovery, beauty services and community-focused experiences within a dedicated bricks-and-mortar environment.

The decision to open in Bristol reflects the city’s large and diverse population, established student community and strong existing online customer base. The opening forms part of LOOKFANTASTIC’s wider omnichannel strategy, translating its online platform into a physical setting.

LOOKFANTASTIC is part of THG’s beauty division, THG Beauty.

Store format and offer

Spanning 3,000 sq ft, the ground-floor store has been designed to prioritise experience, with discovery and participation positioned at the centre of the customer journey. Shoppers will be able to browse across skincare, haircare, fragrance, bodycare and cosmetics, with a curated selection of brands that includes Jo Malone, Tom Ford, YSL, Armani, Medik8, Color Wow, Sol de Janeiro and Laneige.

A central feature of the store is the LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Box format, which will present a rotating monthly edit of products. The format is intended to encourage repeat visits by offering customers the opportunity to discover and trial new brands and launches on a regular basis.

Services and activation space

The store will also include a dedicated skin service room, where treatments will be delivered by a skincare specialist. In addition, flexible space has been allocated for brand activations, pop-ups and window takeovers, allowing the environment to evolve in response to new launches and trends.

“Our Bristol store is about creating a space that puts discovery and community at the heart of the LOOKFANTASTIC experience,”
“Bristol has a large, diverse population and an engaged online customer base, and it’s a city that values creativity, collaboration and connection. This store allows us to bring our digital expertise into a physical environment that feels intuitive, inclusive and experience-led, where customers can explore, learn and feel confident in the choices they make, supported by fan first expertise and curated edits that evolve throughout the year.”

Lucy Gorman, Chief Executive Officer, THG Beauty.

Design and layout

The internal layout has been designed to reflect the changing nature of beauty halls, with curated, storytelling-led edits guiding customers through each category. While brands are clearly defined, the space has been planned to flow naturally and support ease of navigation. Fragrance has been given a dedicated premium area, offering a more considered environment for scent discovery.
