Global lifestyle retailer MINISO has confirmed plans to open a new store at Cribbs Causeway, signing a 10-year lease at the Bristol retail destination. The announcement forms part of the brand’s continued UK expansion and comes as Cribbs reports growing engagement from younger shoppers.

MINISO UK and Cribbs Causeway confirmed that MINISO will occupy a 2,300 sq ft unit, with the store due to open later this year. The retailer will offer products including trending vinyl plush collectibles, blind boxes, plush toys, beauty essentials, playful accessories and snacks.

MINISO store details

MINISO launched its first UK store in 2019 and has since expanded its portfolio, with over 60 stores now open nationwide. Its Cribbs store is designed to deliver an enhanced shopping experience, intended to appeal to Gen Z and Gen Alpha, as well as Millennial parents.

Cribbs’ younger shopper growth

The arrival of MINISO continues Cribbs’ evolution into a retail and leisure destination targeting a growing younger audience and follows the openings of AllSaints and River Island last year.

During 2025, Cribbs reported a 13% growth in Gen Z shoppers, with 36% of total spend coming from younger shoppers, outperforming the regional mall average of 30%.

Skechers upsizes at Cribbs

Alongside MINISO’s arrival, US multinational footwear and apparel brand Skechers will upsize to a new 4,700 sq ft unit after signing a 10-year lease.

With celebrity brand ambassadors ranging from Ringo Starr, Britney Spears, Snoop Dogg, and England football captain Harry Kane, Skechers becomes the latest fashion brand to invest in its Cribbs store following significant upgrades by Mango, H&M, and River Island, alongside the arrivals of AllSaints and Animal last year.
