Mappin & Webb has returned to Birmingham with the opening of a new showroom on New Street, marking the brand’s first city presence in over two decades. Located beneath the historic Burlington Hotel and just steps from the city’s Jewellery Quarter, the new space pays tribute to Birmingham’s longstanding association with design, creativity and craftsmanship.
Following a seven-month renovation, the 260 square metre showroom has been designed to offer an immersive experience, housing a world-class selection of luxury watches and fine jewellery. Key features include private consultation areas, a hospitality bar, and architectural details that acknowledge the heritage of the building.

At the centre of the showroom is a dedicated Rolex space, where clients can explore the full breadth of the brand’s collections. The installation of an external Rolex clock marks a city-first and serves as a visual emblem of the longstanding partnership between the two brands. The showroom also offers a curated selection of Rolex Certified Pre-owned watches, each accompanied by a two-year international guarantee following brand-authorised servicing and authentication.

Beyond Rolex, the showroom features timepieces from luxury watch brands including IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, TAG Heuer and Tudor, all known for their individual craftsmanship and horological heritage.
The jewellery offer includes collections by American designer David Yurman, available exclusively through the Watches of Switzerland Group, as well as Italian fine jeweller Roberto Coin. Mappin & Webb’s own jewellery gallery showcases its signature collections, rooted in over 250 years of design and goldsmithing history.

Craig Bolton, President of UK & Europe at the Watches of Switzerland Group, said: “We are incredibly proud to bring Mappin & Webb back to Birmingham – a city whose spirit and creativity mirrors our own. Just steps from the historic Jewellery Quarter, this opening feels like a true homecoming from a brand built on artistry, excellence and innovation. Birmingham has always been a city that celebrates making things beautifully, and we’re honoured to add to that legacy.”

The Birmingham opening joins other recent Mappin & Webb showrooms in York, Bluewater, Glasgow and Manchester, as part of the Watches of Switzerland Group’s strategy to grow its city presence while combining heritage with contemporary retail concepts.
