This festive season, Montblanc is inviting visitors to embrace the spirit of giving and rediscover the timeless rituals of writing and travel. The brand has launched its 2025 Happy Holidays boutique concept, themed “The Montblanc Observatory High-Mountain Library”, across its retail network in the UK and Ireland.
As part of the seasonal transformation, Montblanc boutiques have been refashioned into imaginative spaces filled with handcrafted details and literary references. The design includes Christmas trees constructed from books and paper-sculpted animals, accompanied by festive melodies and sparkling illuminations that set the tone for the end-of-year celebrations.

The design concept is rooted in Montblanc’s broader Happy Holidays 2025 campaign, which centres around connections, memory-making, and the art of written communication. These themes are brought to life through the “High-Mountain Library” setting — a whimsical, fictional environment previously introduced in the short film Let’s Write, directed by Wes Anderson.
The campaign is visually anchored at Montblanc’s New Bond Street flagship boutique, where the façade has been reimagined through a large-scale light installation. Floating pages and oversized fountain pen nibs are suspended in the air, symbolising the enduring relevance of handwriting. A specially composed musical score plays in tandem with the installation, welcoming passers-by into the brand’s festive narrative.

Within the boutiques, the concept extends to curated in-store experiences. Shoppers are encouraged to take time to write personal notes, exchange seasonal greetings, and choose gifts that carry meaning. At the heart of the product offering is the newly introduced Happy Holidays Capsule Leather Collection, designed by Marco Tomasetta, Montblanc’s Artistic Director.
The capsule collection draws upon archival imagery and Montblanc’s heritage in both travel and writing. Each leather item features a hand-drawn illustration portraying a couple at the foot of Mont Blanc, accompanied by vintage planes, trains and airborne letters. The motif captures a sense of timeless journeying, in line with the campaign’s nostalgic tone.

In addition to the limited-edition capsule, the boutiques are offering a wider selection of seasonal gift ideas spanning Montblanc’s writing instruments, watches, leather goods, connected tech items, and accessories. Personalisation services are available, allowing customers to add bespoke details to selected purchases.
This festive retail concept has been implemented across all Montblanc boutiques in the UK and Ireland and is expected to run throughout the holiday trading period. It marks another step in Montblanc’s recent efforts to integrate storytelling into physical retail experiences, while encouraging consumers to slow down and reconnect with traditional forms of communication.
