Napapijri has launched a new retail concept at its Paris flagship on Rue Étienne Marcel, unveiling an immersive architectural approach that fuses urban aesthetics with outdoor inspiration. The 250-square-metre store introduces a layered experiential journey through a design created by Milan-based studio Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, in collaboration with Superspatial.

The concept is structured around three spatial narratives: the Urban Shell, Open Archive, and Shelter Room. These elements work together to create a fluid and story-driven space that reflects Napapijri’s evolving identity and commitment to innovation.

The Urban Shell, formed with textured concrete, galvanised metal and rough timber, provides a tactile, city-inspired foundation. These elements are offset by natural stone and warm tones, evoking the brand’s outdoor heritage while capturing the rhythm of urban environments.

Central to the store is the Open Archive, a large-scale metal installation that houses iconic garments, archival objects and visual storytelling elements. Accented by Napapijri’s signature Napa Orange, this feature acts as a living diary that bridges the brand’s heritage with its forward-looking vision.

The Shelter Room introduces a more experimental layer to the experience. Designed as a transformable environment, it showcases exclusive collections and immersive installations that encourage visitor interaction. This zone integrates materials and digital elements to foster creativity, exploration and connection.

Tiziano Vudafieri and Claudio Saverino describe the concept as a product of “story listening,” aiming to translate Napapijri’s distinctive personality into an architectural form that resonates with curious, unconventional audiences. “Every element—material, colour, light—is part of an experiential narrative,” they explain, designed to communicate the brand’s dual identity of urban energy and outdoor spirit.

The Paris flagship signals the first stage in a broader retail transformation for Napapijri, positioning physical stores as spaces of storytelling and cultural engagement rather than mere points of sale. It represents an architectural reinterpretation that invites exploration and dialogue with the brand’s international community.
