Primark has launched its first mobile customer app in the UK, marking a further step in its ongoing digital development while maintaining its store-first approach.
The app, now available via Apple Store and Google Play Store, introduces digital browsing alongside access to Primark’s Click & Collect service. The retailer said the platform is designed to complement in-store shopping by combining convenience with discovery.
UK shoppers join customers in Ireland and Italy, where the app was introduced last summer. The rollout reflects growing demand for digital tools that support physical retail experiences rather than replace them.
Features include a store locator providing opening hours and directions, as well as a Favourites function enabling users to save items ahead of store visits. The app also delivers personalised notifications covering new arrivals, product launches and updates, supported by a simplified navigation interface.
Kari Rodgers, UK Retail Director at Primark, said:
“We know our customers expect great value and an effortless shopping experience, wherever they are. Our new app puts exactly that in the palm of their hand, from personalised updates on the latest trends to faster, more convenient ways to browse and shop via Click & Collect. This is just the next step in bringing everyday value to more UK shoppers in a way that’s simple, seamless and built around their needs.”
The app integrates with Primark’s Click & Collect service, now available across all 189 stores in England, Scotland and Wales. Customers can browse, order and pay online before collecting purchases in-store, supporting faster and more flexible shopping journeys.
Matt Houston, Chief Customer & Digital Officer at Primark, added:
“Following the successful launch of our app in Ireland and Italy, we’re excited to bring an even smarter, more connected shopping experience to the UK. Customers are increasingly turning to digital tools that make shopping easier and more rewarding, and we’re confident that our app will deliver an intuitive, personalised experience that’s been carefully designed to help them get the most out of every Primark visit.”
Matt Houston, Chief Customer & Digital Officer, Primark
Primark said the launch builds on continued investment in digital channels, including social media growth to more than 25 million followers globally and increased website engagement. The retailer noted that 25% of UK website visitors use its stock check feature.
The UK app launch follows earlier introductions in Ireland and Italy and forms part of a broader strategy to integrate digital functionality with in-store retail.
People in the UK, Italy and Ireland can download the app now by visiting the Apple Store or Google Play Store and searching Primark.
