VPZ, the UK’s largest vaping retailer, has announced plans to expand its network by opening 23 new stores across the nation by the middle of 2024. This strategic growth will increase the company’s total to just under 200 stores, enhancing its mission to support individuals in quitting smoking and to address environmental concerns associated with vaping.
The new locations, selected in key cities such as Cardiff, Bristol, Plymouth, Stirling, and Exeter, are aimed at strengthening VPZ’s presence in both community settings and high-footfall shopping centres. This includes building on the success of the recent launch at Newcastle’s Metrocentre, demonstrating the brand’s effectiveness in high-traffic retail environments.
The expansion includes further development of VPZ’s franchise model, which involves both the continuation of partnerships with existing franchisees and the introduction of new partners through an onboarding programme. This model is part of VPZ’s broader strategy to make specialist stop smoking services more widely available.
Another significant aspect of the new stores will be the expansion of VPZ’s vape recycling service. Initiated in response to the increasing environmental concerns over disposable vapes, the service invites all vapers to dispose of their devices safely at any VPZ store. This initiative aligns with a sales strategy focused on promoting sustainable, reusable vaping products.
Doug Mutter, Director of VPZ, reiterated the company’s commitment to combating smoking, “As the UK’s leading vaping specialist, we are spearheading the fight against the nation’s number one killer – smoking,” said Mutter. The new stores are a part of VPZ’s ongoing efforts to support individuals embarking on their quit journey and to mitigate the environmental impact of disposable vapes.
