BOXPARK has confirmed that its flagship Shoreditch location will remain open until the end of September 2025, following strong backing from landlords Ballymore and Hammerson, as well as support from the Greater London Authority (GLA), local councils, and the community. The decision ensures the venue’s continued contribution to Shoreditch’s economy and cultural landscape.

Strong community support drives lease extension

Since opening in 2011, BOXPARK Shoreditch has played a central role in the area’s regeneration, attracting over 1.25 million visitors annually. The space has provided a platform for over 250 independent businesses, contributing nearly £100 million in economic value and generating approximately 270 jobs per year. Its mix of retail, dining, and events has cemented its status as a hub for both locals and tourists.

Ben McLaughlin, COO of BOXPARK, expressed gratitude for the backing received: “The support we’ve received from the community has been nothing short of inspiring. The extension of our lease provides certainty to the 47 small, independent businesses, and hundreds of their employees across our Shoreditch site. We are absolutely thrilled to continue our journey in Shoreditch and remain committed to providing a platform for independent businesses and a vibrant space for our customers.”

BOXPARK’s ongoing commitment to Shoreditch

BOXPARK has long been recognised for its role in urban regeneration and community engagement. With its lease extension secured, the venue will continue to support independent businesses and host events celebrating its connection with the local community. Plans include initiatives aimed at enhancing the customer experience while maintaining its reputation as a dynamic social and retail space.

“As we move forward, we look forward to making the most of our site and partners’ support to ensure that BOXPARK Shoreditch continues to thrive,” McLaughlin added.

Expansion continues with BOXHALL Liverpool Street

While BOXPARK Shoreditch celebrates its lease extension, the company is also preparing for its next venture. In spring 2025, BOXPARK will launch BOXHALL in London’s Liverpool Street. The new social dining concept will create 150 jobs and feature fourteen kitchens and food retail spaces. BOXHALL is currently seeking premium food and beverage brands to take part in its next-generation food hall experience.
