Belstaff is set to open its first store in Leeds this September, selecting Victoria Leeds’ historic Victoria Quarter as the site for its city debut. The British menswear brand will occupy a 2,259 sq ft unit, joining an existing line-up of retailers including Barbour, Hawes & Curtis, and Ralph Lauren.

The new store will feature Belstaff’s full menswear collection, known for its motorcycling heritage and focus on quality craftsmanship. Alongside outerwear, the space will offer a range of essentials and accessories. A selection of womenswear will also be available, broadening the store’s customer appeal.

Victoria Leeds, a mixed-use shopping and lifestyle destination, has continued to expand its fashion offer under the ownership of Redical, which acquired the asset in 2022. The addition of Belstaff supports Redical’s broader strategy to strengthen the destination’s retail profile through what it terms a ‘transformation through accumulation’.

“Belstaff is a very strong addition to our menswear offer at Victoria Leeds, bringing even greater variety and diversity to our guests’ shopping experience,” said Rachel Bradburn, Head of Leasing at Redical. “Belfstaff choosing Victoria Leeds for its city debut further cements our reputation as the prime retail destination in the region, and highlights our continued commitment to delivering the best-of-the-best, time and time again.”

The Victoria Quarter setting, known for its ornate architecture and covered arcades, is intended to complement the brand’s classic aesthetic. Kerry Byrne, CEO of Belstaff, noted: “The signing at Victoria Leeds marks the next step in our significant expansion strategy, with the historic architecture of Victoria Quarter complementing our timeless and elegant menswear collection. Victoria Leeds stands as one of the north’s most premium retail destinations, and we are proud to add Belstaff to the leading tenant mix.”

Belstaff’s arrival follows the recent addition of Alo Yoga, a luxury activewear brand which also opened a store at Victoria Leeds. Alo Yoga’s unit includes collections across womenswear and menswear, covering activewear, outerwear, accessories, and wellness products.

The inclusion of both Belstaff and Alo Yoga underscores Redical’s continued efforts to diversify and elevate the tenant mix at Victoria Leeds. These signings contribute to positioning the destination as a key retail hub in the north of England, balancing heritage names with contemporary labels.
