Black Sheep Coffee is to open a store at 90–92 Gordon Street in Glasgow city centre on Tuesday 27 October, run by franchisee SUR Group.
Located moments from Glasgow Central Station, the store is designed mainly as a grab-and-go site for commuters, office workers, local residents and visitors, with 20 seats inside, additional outdoor seating and takeaway options.

The opening will create around 20 jobs, adding to the 150 supported by the franchisees’ Black Sheep Coffee operation. For the Glasgow-born franchisees, Suhail Rehman, CEO of SUR Group, and Tariq Din, its Business Development Director, the investment reflects a commitment to creating local jobs and continuing to invest in the city where they grew up.
“We’re excited to bring Black Sheep Coffee to Gordon Street, right in the heart of Glasgow. The response to our existing stores has given us real confidence to keep investing in the city, and this opening is another important step in our growth. We look forward to welcoming commuters, local workers and visitors for great coffee and a warm Glasgow welcome.”
Suhail Rehman, CEO, SUR Group
The store has been designed to complement its surroundings, retaining elements of the building’s external masonry and stonework and bringing some of its traditional features into the interior, where they will sit alongside Black Sheep Coffee‘s contemporary interior style.
“We’re particularly proud to be investing in a landmark Glasgow building, restoring its character while creating new jobs in the heart of our home city. For SUR Group, this is about more than opening another store — it’s about continued investment in Glasgow, its people, and its future.”
Tariq Din, Business Development Director, SUR Group
To mark the opening, customers visiting on 27 October will be able to buy coffees for £1, and the first 100 customers will receive a Black Sheep Coffee tote bag.
The store is part of SUR Group’s continued investment in Scotland, with further openings planned at Glasgow Fort, Clydebank and Stirling over the coming months. It also adds to Black Sheep Coffee’s expansion across the UK, which this year has included a 10-site deal in central London.
