Trafford Centre has announced that lululemon will upsize in July, relocating to a central position at the edge of The Dome.
The new lululemon store will provide 3,700 sq ft of sales space, representing an increase in footprint of more than 150% at Trafford Centre. The expanded unit is intended to deliver an elevated retail experience, with enhanced in-store elements designed for the brand’s growing audience. It will stock a broader range of technical athletic apparel, footwear and accessories across yoga, Pilates, running, training, golf, tennis and everyday movement.
The move follows continued momentum in the destination’s athleisure and sportswear offer, which it said was up 16% year on year in December 2025. According to the centre, major brands continue to upsize and choose the scheme for flagship and concept stores, with lululemon’s relocation adding further weight to that trend.
“lululemon’s decision to relocate and increase its Trafford Centre Manchester location is a powerful endorsement of the strength of our retail proposition. It reflects a clear trend of leading global brands investing in larger, more immersive spaces where they can connect with our highly engaged and diverse customer base. “The continued growth of our athleisure and performance category has firmly positioned Trafford Centre at the forefront of the sector and lululemon will be a standout brand within it.”
