Lakeside Shopping Centre, part of SGS Group, has announced the opening of a new Reiss store. The unit offers the brand’s complete range of contemporary menswear, womenswear, and accessories, and is part of Reiss’s broader strategy to grow its physical store network across the UK.
The store’s design was led by rpa:group, which also collaborated with Reiss on its location in London Heathrow’s Terminal Two. The project management team and design studio at rpa:group worked closely with Reiss’s in-house designer to develop a refreshed concept reflecting the brand’s focus on quality and sophistication.
“Having acquired a substantial amount of experience delivering environments for high-end retailers over the years, we were delighted to be able to utilise our multidisciplinary skills to help deliver this beautiful new store for our client,” said James Breaks, Associate Director of Design at rpa:group.
The store features large-scale external graphics showcasing current fashion, and a floor-to-ceiling glazed shopfront providing a clear view across the space. Pale wooden panelling on the exterior continues inside, used in the store’s fixtures and fittings. A linear slatted ceiling adds depth and visual interest, while the warm wood contrasts with black display frame materials. The walls are finished in a neutral heritage tone to create an understated, elegant retail palette that aligns with Reiss’s brand identity.
William Scoullar, Senior Project Manager at rpa:group, added: “It was a pleasure to be able to work on another store with our client, Reiss, providing the role of Principle Designer. By opening up the left-hand side of the store to provide a dual aspect and enlarged shop front, it truly optimises the view into the striking store interior.”
The Lakeside opening forms part of Reiss’s ongoing efforts to enhance its physical retail presence, with further store developments and refurbishments planned. The brand continues to invest in environments that offer customers a high-quality, design-led shopping experience in key UK locations.
