Danish lifestyle brand Søstrene Grene is set to open its first store in Herefordshire, with a new location planned for Hereford later this year as part of its ongoing UK expansion.

The arrival will introduce Søstrene Grene’s Scandinavian design-led collections to the county for the first time. The retailer offers a curated range of homewares, kitchen essentials, craft supplies, soft furnishings and seasonal décor, focused on accessible, design-led products for everyday use.

A Distinctive Store Experience

The store will reflect the brand’s established retail concept, combining a sensory in-store environment with a winding layout designed to encourage exploration. Features including soft lighting and classical music are intended to create a calm shopping experience, rooted in the Danish concept of hygge.

“We’re very much looking forward to bringing Søstrene Grene to the county of Herefordshire. This opening reflects our commitment to making beautiful, accessible products part of everyday life and we look forward to welcoming the local community of Hereford to the world of Søstrene Grene.
Every store is designed to be a place where customers can discover thoughtfully designed homewares, find inspiration and enjoy a sense of calm while having a creative shopping experience. “

Expansion Continues

The opening forms part of the retailer’s wider international growth, with close to 400 stores across 17 markets. In the UK, Søstrene Grene has outlined plans to reach 100 stores over the next few years.

“This is brilliant news for the retail and hospitality sector, for shoppers, and for Hereford City Centre to have a globally-recognised, fashionable brand move in.
We’re delighted that Søstrene Grene has chosen here for its latest store and look forward to continuing to work with them and all our retailers, food and drink and other city and town centre businesses across the county to make us a destination of choice for local people and visitors.”

Cllr Graham Biggs, Cabinet Member for Economy and Growth, Hereford City Council
