Derbion has announced that Crew Clothing will open its first standalone store in the East Midlands this December, continuing the shopping centre’s expansion as a key fashion and lifestyle destination.
The British lifestyle brand has signed a lease for a 1,200 sq ft unit within the Derby-based centre. This will be the first time Crew Clothing has opened a permanent bricks-and-mortar location in the region, marking a strategic step in its UK store rollout.

Founded in Salcombe in 1993, Crew Clothing is known for its casual yet timeless style, drawing inspiration from coastal living and the British outdoors. The brand has since built a nationwide presence, now operating over 100 standalone stores, concessions and outlet locations across the UK. The Derbion store will stock clothing for men, women and children, and is expected to draw seasonal interest with its winter and Christmas collections launching at opening.
Beth McDonald, Managing Director at Derbion, said: “We are delighted that Crew Clothing has become the latest brand to select Derbion for its first standalone location in the East Midlands. Crew Clothing increases our fashion offering, and we expect the brand to prove popular with shoppers from across the region. This letting to Crew Clothing caps an action-packed year for Derbion as we continue to evolve our retail and leisure offering.”
Carol Kane, Head of Retail North at Crew Clothing, added: “We are excited to be bringing Crew Clothing to the East Midlands. In Derbion we have the perfect location to grow our footprint across the region, and we look forward to working with the Derbion team to create a best-in-class standalone store. The store will open just in time for the festive season, and customers will be able to shop our new Winter and Christmas collections in store from opening.”
The announcement follows a year of investment and expansion at Derbion, with recent additions to its fashion line-up including Victoria’s Secret, Seasalt Cornwall, and Luke 1977. Established brands such as Foot Locker, Pandora and Moss have also upgraded their stores at the centre.
Looking ahead, Derbion is set to welcome a new Primark store in early 2027. These ongoing developments support Derbion’s continued evolution as a retail and leisure destination that attracts more than 15 million visitors annually and ranks among the UK’s top 20 retail assets.
