Dobbies Garden Centre in Beaconsfield has become the latest site to complete its refurbishment under the chain’s nationwide investment initiative. The store reopened to customers on 4 September, marking the fourth location to undergo a modernisation this year.

The overhaul introduces a broadened selection of plants, gardening products and new landscaping ranges. Complementing this is a newly integrated clothing offering featuring Klass Clothing and Regatta, alongside a gift shop stocked with homewares, gifts and spa-oriented products.

A highlight of the redevelopment is the new and enhanced coffee shop, now able to seat 82 customers indoors and a further 48 outdoors. The café’s expanded menu includes hot food options such as soup, toasties and baked potatoes.

To accommodate the anticipated increase in visitor numbers, additional car parking spaces have also been introduced at the Beaconsfield branch.

Paul Gibson, General Manager at Dobbies Garden Centre, commented:
“We’re delighted with the transformation of our store. Gardening is such a popular pastime in Buckinghamshire and we’ve tailored the changes to suit our local community of garden lovers. The refurbishment is the result of fantastic teamwork from our colleagues and partners and we’d like to say a big thanks for all their hard work. We’re looking forward to welcoming customers to our new look store!”

This revamp follows earlier refurbishments at Dobbies’ Cadnam, Brighton and Hungerford stores. The retailer’s wider investment strategy focuses on enhancing the overall fabric of the stores, creating room for larger and updated product ranges, and improving the ease of shopping.

David Robinson, CEO of Dobbies, added:
“Following the success of the first three refurbished stores, it’s been great to maintain momentum with the completion of Beaconsfield. The results from the first three stores have been encouraging, with an improvement to both footfall and sales, as well as positive feedback from our colleagues and customers. We’re continuing with this investment with further store refurbishments to be completed over the course of this year, and into 2026.”
