Søstrene Grene will open a new store in Canary Wharf this summer, expanding its presence in London as part of broader UK growth plans. The Danish lifestyle brand, known for its Scandinavian design aesthetic and focus on everyday comfort, will join the retail mix in one of the capital’s most prominent business districts.

The store will stock the brand’s range of homewares, kitchen accessories, small furniture, hobby materials, and seasonal items. The layout will follow Søstrene Grene’s signature labyrinth format, designed to create a calm and leisurely shopping experience. Ambient features such as warm lighting and classical music are intended to encourage a slower pace and provide contrast to the busy commercial environment surrounding it.

Norma Jacob, UK Venture Partner, added: “We are excited to bring Søstrene Grene to Canary Wharf, a location that offers so much energy and potential. The new store will not only serve London’s business community but also introduce even more people to our commitment to affordable design that enhances everyday life. We’re proud to be part of the journey as we continue to expand Søstrene Grene’s reach across the UK.”

Richard Power, also a UK Venture Partner, commented: “Canary Wharf offers a unique opportunity for us to connect with a diverse range of people – from local professionals to visitors who come to experience the area’s vibrant atmosphere. We’re excited to offer a peaceful retreat that brings inspiration and quality to one of London’s most dynamic districts.”

The exact opening date has not yet been confirmed, but it is scheduled for summer 2025. This latest addition comes as the business continues an ambitious UK rollout, with plans to open 100 new stores by 2027. The company currently operates more than 300 stores across 17 countries.

Stuart Fyfe, Managing Director of Retail, Leisure, and Hospitality at Canary Wharf Group, noted: “Søstrene Grene is a fantastic addition to the Wharf, bringing its home décor and creative projects to the neighbourhood. We’ve created a fantastically vibrant mix of brands at the Wharf catering to the needs of our workers, residents, and visitors alike and in response, we’re continuing to see our footfall rise attracting customers from a wide catchment.”
