lululemon has opened its first store on High Street Kensington, marking its 13th stand-alone location in London.

Situated at Kensington High Street, the 7,000 sq ft unit is arranged across two floors. The design takes cues from the store’s proximity to Hyde Park, incorporating wood finishes, textured materials and neutral tones. A local manifesto centred on running culture is integrated into the space through quotes and movement-led design elements.

The store presents lululemon’s men’s and women’s performance ranges, including technical apparel, accessories and footwear. Categories span yoga, Pilates, running, training, tennis, golf and everyday movement.

London expansion continues

Sarah Clark, Senior Vice President, EMEA, lululemon, said the opening builds on the brand’s continued London expansion.

“Following the opening of our Regent Street flagship store last year, we’re excited to continue growing our presence in London with our new High Street Kensington location, which will be our thirteenth stand-alone store in the city. This store brings our latest design concept to life in a way that feels open, welcoming, and genuinely connected to the local community. The High Street Kensington store showcases both our men’s and women’s ranges across yoga, Pilates, train, tennis, and golf – high performance, high style collections covering technical apparel, footwear, and accessories. The new space provides us with a great opportunity to better serve West London’s active community and build meaningful, long-term connections in the neighbourhood.”

Building community

Community engagement forms part of the High Street Kensington store strategy. To mark the opening, lululemon is hosting a programme of movement-led activations aimed at connecting with local audiences.

Across opening weekend, activity includes live DJ sets, giveaways for early visitors and in-store experiences. The brand is also partnering with a local independent High Street Kensington coffee shop to offer complimentary hot drinks and exclusive offers.

On Saturday 14 February, lululemon will host a Valentine’s-themed community run for singles in partnership with Third Space Whiteley, with approximately 100 guests expected to take part. The run will begin at the Third Space Whiteley club and finish at the High Street Kensington store.

Beyond the launch period, the store will work with fitness and wellbeing operators including Equinox and Third Space Whiteley, alongside local ambassadors and studios, to deliver movement-led events throughout the year. The programme is intended to embed the store within West London’s wider wellness community.
