Sephora UK has opened its first Glasgow store at Silverburn, with hundreds of customers queuing from early morning on 13 August 2026 for the launch.

The 4,940 sq ft store introduces Sephora UK’s beauty offer to the west of Scotland, combining global and exclusive brands with personalised services, Beauty Advisors and the retailer’s latest in-store technology.

The opening is the fourth and final launch in the retailer’s ‘Sephora Summer’ programme and follows its Scottish debut at Edinburgh’s St James Quarter in July. The two openings give Sephora UK a physical presence in both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Sarah Boyd, Managing Director of Sephora UK, joined the retailer’s UK leadership team to cut the ribbon at Silverburn, beginning a four-day opening programme running from 13–16 August.

Brands and Beauty Technology

Inside the store, Sephora UK has brought together its selection of global brands, established names and emerging labels alongside Sephora Collection.

Brands available through Sephora in Glasgow include rhode, Haus Labs, Makeup by Mario, Merit Beauty, Half Magic, Yepoda and Tower 28. The range also includes Tatcha, Tarte, Summer Fridays and Kosas.

Scottish beauty brands Vieve and BYOMA are also represented within the Silverburn assortment.

The store introduces Sephora UK’s Beauty Scan technology to Glasgow. The service uses an advanced lens operated by a Beauty Advisor to assess factors including skin oil and hydration levels and support more precise foundation shade matching. Results are then used by Beauty Advisors to tailor product recommendations to individual customers.

“The opening of our Glasgow Silverburn store is a proud milestone for Sephora UK. Following the incredible response to our Edinburgh opening, we knew beauty lovers in the west of Scotland were ready for Sephora too, and we’re so excited to finally open our doors.
“Every new store is about more than just opening a new place to shop. We want to create a beauty destination where people can discover something new, experiment, learn and be inspired. Glasgow has such an incredible energy and sense of style, and we can’t wait to become part of the city’s beauty community.”

Sarah Boyd
Managing Director, Sephora UK

“Sephora UK’s arrival in Scotland is one of the biggest retail stories of the summer. Their decision to open their first Glasgow store at Silverburn reflects our position as a leading retail destination and our appeal to the most sought-after international brands. We could not be more thrilled to welcome them.
“Beauty at Silverburn has grown significantly over the past year and Sephora UK continues that momentum, giving our guests another reason to make us their first stop for the best in beauty and fashion.
“Glaswegians have been waiting for this day all summer. I’ve no doubt today’s opening celebrations will give SephoraUK the warmest of Glasgow welcomes.”

Sephora Summer Completes Four-Store Programme

The Glasgow opening completes a programme of four Sephora UK launches in just over a month. Since July, the retailer has opened its first Scottish store at St James Quarter and introduced its first UK boutique-format stores on London’s Carnaby Street and at Old Spitalfields Market.

The boutique format was developed in response to changing customer shopping habits and is centred on curated product selections, personalised beauty advice and shorter high-street visits.

Further UK store openings are planned before the end of 2026 as Sephora UK works towards a nationwide portfolio of 20 stores.

The retailer is also preparing for the UK debut of SEPHORiA, its global beauty festival, at London’s 180 Studios in October. Tickets are due to go on sale to Gold members on 18 August, followed by general admission on 20 August.
