Danish lifestyle brand Søstrene Grene is set to open a new store on Lincoln High Street, marking the next stage of its UK expansion. The retailer is known for its Scandinavian-inspired design, curated homewares and emphasis on calm, sensory-led retail environments.

The forthcoming Lincoln store will be Søstrene Grene’s first in Lincolnshire, responding to growing demand for its design-led homeware and creative products. Once open, the store will offer local shoppers the opportunity to experience the brand’s approach to everyday living closer to home.

Located in the heart of the city, the store has been designed as more than a conventional retail space. Soft lighting, classical music and the brand’s signature labyrinth-style layout are intended to create a slower-paced, immersive environment. The concept draws on the Danish tradition of hygge, offering a moment of calm and creativity within Lincoln’s historic city centre.

“Retail often moves quickly, but our stores are designed to do the opposite. We think there is real value in slowing down, engaging the senses and taking time to explore well-made, thoughtful products. We’re excited to bring that experience to Lincoln and invite locals and visitors to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of Søstrene Grene.” – Mikkel Grene, CEO and Co-owner of Søstrene Grene

Søstrene Grene currently operates more than 380 stores across 17 countries and continues to expand its UK presence, with plans for 100 new store openings by the end of 2027.

“The most encouraging part of our growth has been seeing how people respond when they experience a Søstrene Grene store in person. Lincoln gives us the chance to introduce the brand and our new sensory shopping concept.” – Jonathan Cooper, Country Manager for the North of England

An official opening date for Søstrene Grene’s Lincoln High Street store will be announced shortly.
