With its first ever retail park location, The Cotswold Company has landed in Chichester, unveiling a new format showroom at Portfield Retail Park. Located at Unit 2, Portfield Way, the space introduces a larger footprint designed to immerse shoppers in home‑inspired layouts rather than traditional store fixtures.
Rather than rows of display furniture, visitors will find dropped ceilings, faux windows and fully styled rooms that mirror everyday living spaces. It’s a shift in format that reimagines the retail park model, bringing character and context into the customer journey.

The larger layout allows for an extended range of products, including full collections such as Chester, Inglesham, Elkstone Oak and Camille. A key feature is the brand’s most expansive upholstery section to date. At the heart of the showroom is the Upholstery Hub, where fabric swatches, full‑length displays and a dedicated consultation area offer a tactile and personalised experience.
New to this location is a full ready‑made curtain range, with a choice of fabrics, drapes and finishes curated to complement the existing furniture lines. The intention is to bring more of the home under one roof, with inspiration at the forefront of the layout.
This is the fourth showroom launch for the brand in 2025, following a strong performance from its recent Knutsford opening. At least one more showroom is expected before the end of the financial year, as part of the company’s continuing expansion across the UK.

“We’re delighted to officially open our new retail park showroom in Chichester. It was critical to replicate the charm and immersive experience that customers have come to know in love across our showroom portfolio, and we’re proud to provide the same look and feel in Chichester. We genuinely believe there isn’t a retail park showroom like it!” said Ralph Tucker, Chief Executive Officer.
He added: “This opening is a significant milestone for the brand as we strengthen our presence in the South East and drive the rollout of our immersive showroom format that allows customers to experience broader ranges of our collections. With a strong showroom pipeline, Chichester being the fourth in 2025 with at least one more planned before the end of the financial year, we’re building momentum as we work towards becoming the UK’s leading premium furniture and homeware brands.”

The new location blends physical scale with design nuance, offering visitors a more immersive space to explore. Styled settings replace showroom sterility, inviting customers to experience how collections might look in their own homes.
