Landsec has expanded the retail offer at One New Change in the City of London with the arrival of a new Aesop concept store. The 57 sqm retail space introduces a design-led approach inspired by the principles of the circular economy, reinforcing both Landsec’s and Aesop’s commitment to environmental sustainability in the retail sector.
The store’s interiors have been constructed using reclaimed materials from Aesop’s former head office at Long Yard. Former office furniture, including tables, have been reworked into shelving, a central counter, and ceiling fixtures, while a basin salvaged from a previous Aesop counter at Selfridges has been reused. The result is a uniquely sustainable retail experience that reflects the brand’s values and provides a tactile, sensorial environment for customers.

Ruth McFetridge, Senior Retail Leasing Director at Landsec, said:
“Our growing retail offer is built on big brands and immersive experiences, and we are delighted to welcome Aesop to One New Change as a perfect combination of the two. Over the past year, we have continued to position One New Change as a key leisure destination for those living in London as well as further afield. As an iconic health and wellness brand, our new partnership with Aesop will encourage even more visitors to enjoy this bustling and dynamic area, with one of the most unbeatable backdrops in the city.”
Ryad Djellas, General Manager for Europe at Aesop, added:
“The experience within any Aesop store, and our relationship with our customers, is never a simply transactional one: it is also sensorial, educational and always bespoke. The design of our spaces matters deeply to us and Aesop One New Change has presented an opportunity to pay homage to reuse—one of our fundamental store design principles. We aim to sustainably create a distinctive retail environment that is connected to One New Change. We hope to weave ourselves into the fabric of St Paul’s and look forward to welcoming customers.”
With over 7 million annual visitors, One New Change is positioned at the intersection of multiple transport routes and is becoming increasingly recognised as a day-to-night destination. The development’s evolving tenant mix, which includes Ivy Asia and F1 Arcade, has helped attract a wider audience beyond office workers, extending footfall into evenings and weekends.
