Evri has launched a new trial in partnership with Vinted to offer free reusable packaging for customers at selected Evri ParcelShops across the UK. The initiative marks the first time a UK delivery carrier is providing this type of packaging solution.

The trial, which will run for eight weeks, has begun in over 100 ParcelShops and is expected to expand to nearly 300 locations during the trial period. The packaging is aimed at Vinted users seeking a quick, free, and reusable option when dropping off items for delivery.

Evri will stock the packaging at participating locations. Designed to fit medium-sized Vinted parcels, each unit includes two adhesive strips, enabling both senders and recipients to reuse the packaging for further shipments. The scheme supports Vinted’s broader objective of encouraging more sustainable practices in second-hand fashion.

The launch follows a recent four-year contract extension between Vinted’s delivery division, Vinted Go, and the Yorkshire-based carrier. The partnership is intended to streamline the process for UK Vinted users sending items via the platform, reflecting increased demand linked to the growth of pre-owned fashion.

Claire Phelan, Head of Ecommerce Partnerships at Evri, said: “We’re thrilled to be the first UK delivery carrier to be able to support Vinted’s trial of reusable packaging. By stocking this at almost 300 of our Evri ParcelShops, it provides their army of sellers with an efficient and reusable solution by which to send their parcels. And, as we forecast issuing over 100K units of Vinted’s reusable packaging during the trial, its multi-use feature is fantastic, also giving buyers the opportunity to re-purpose.”

Vytautas Atkočaitis, Vice President of Vinted Go, added: “At Vinted we are committed to doing all we can to make it even easier for our members to shop second-hand. By collaborating with selected carrier partners including Evri, to provide free and reusable packaging we hope to encourage our members to opt for packaging that is suitable for repeat use and fits the size of their items better.”

The trial forms part of the companies’ broader response to increased shipping volumes tied to the popularity of pre-loved shopping. Evri has also announced plans to double its ParcelShop and locker network to 25,000 locations by 2030, signalling longer-term investment in convenience and accessibility.

If the trial proves successful, the packaging initiative could be extended across additional Evri sites as part of future service developments.
