ALO has entered the German retail market with the opening of its first flagship store in Berlin, marking another stage in the fashion and lifestyle brand’s European expansion.

Located at Muenzstrasse 21–23, the new 6,000 sq ft store introduces ALO’s Sanctuary retail concept to the German capital. The space stocks the brand’s women’s and men’s apparel, footwear and accessories, including the ALO Bag Collection.

The Berlin opening extends ALO’s European retail presence, following its expansion into France and the development of its UK store network. The brand’s Sanctuary concept brings together its California-rooted approach to activewear, fashion and wellness, with an emphasis on building local communities around movement and wellbeing.

“Germany is an important market for ALO, and we are excited to begin our journey here in Berlin. The city’s creative energy offers a distinct setting for our California-rooted approach to premium apparel and wellness. We are entering with a long-term mindset, and this first Sanctuary gives us an opportunity to deepen our relationship with the local community and become part of their everyday lives.”

Alongside the store opening, ALO has organised a programme of community wellness activities across Berlin throughout October. The events include Pilates, yoga, cycling, running, breathwork and meditation, extending the brand’s activities beyond its new retail location.

The programme also featured an immersive candlelit yoga experience at Berlin’s Tempodrom on 11 October, ahead of the official announcement of the German market launch on 15 October.

The Berlin flagship establishes ALO’s first physical retail presence in Germany, combining its apparel and accessories offer with a programme of local wellness activities.
